The global art industry is possibly the largest cottage industry in the world which has essentially remained unchanged throughout its history.
Despite annual sales that measure in the tens of billions of dollars and with thousands of websites offering artworks, very few companies, if any, have chosen to offer the art buyer a reliable, organized, pre-selected volume of artwork.

Our History
Artevo.com Inc., (previously Power Play Art Ltd. which amalgamated with Artevo Corporation in 2008) was founded by Christopher Talbot in 2002. Over a period of 8 years Artevo evolved into an industry leader through the development of a world class website and securing significant reproduction rights from some of the leading artists of the world.
Several innovative art galleries were established within Canada including a 20,000 sq ft. flagship gallery in Calgary, Alberta which hosted numerous gala events for up to 500 people. In May 2008, Artevo publically listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange - Venture and financing was arranged to fund expansion into the US market and to launch the Artevo.com website. With the onslaught of the recession Artevo encountered significant problems and entered receivership. In December 2009, Alger and Associates were appointed as receivers of Artevo Corporation and the assets were offered for sale.
A group of previous investors formed a new company "Artevo.com Inc." and successfully negotiated the purchase of all of the fine art related assets previously owned by Artevo Corporation including a wholly owned division, Prelude Framing.
Artevo.com Inc., Artevo Gallery and Framing have now secured 9,000 sq ft. at 6999 11th St. SE Calgary where operations began in September 2010. A group of committed experienced individuals are now working diligently to realize the Artevo vision by offering our customers unprecedented access to an extensive range of pre-selected artworks from the leading artists of the world.
We have named our company Artevo, because it really is the world of "Art Evolved".
