Frogman Bronze Sculptures

Tim Cotterill was born in Leicester, England in 1950. His childhood experiences with creatures in the woods and streams of the English countryside were very influential in his development as an artist. In the artist’s own words, “This was the beginning of a life-long fascination with an animal whose nature and disposition would influence my own perspective on life and the joy to be found in it. I didn’t know then that I would someday be known as The Frogman, creator of bronze sculptures that capture the whimsical character, jewel-like quality and pure joy of these beautiful little creatures.”

Intrigued with metal working, Tim began his life as an artist creating original steel, bronze and gold animal sculptures as well as an innovative collection of wheeled vehicles. Tim moved to California in 1990 and created his Venice Beach studio, Paradise, complete with a frog and koi pond. Here, he devotes himself to the creation of his unique bronze frog sculptures. His work is known worldwide in galleries and private collections.

Tim Cotterill’s sculptures are a one-of-a-kind work of art; no two will ever look exactly alike. Variations are to be expected and appreciated. Each unique sculpture is carefully examined for quality and signed with a limited edition number. “Enjoy!”

Care of Frogman Bronze Sculptures

- Treat your sculpture as you would fine glass. DO NOT use abrasive materials to clean the surface of your frog.
- Dust the surface frequently with a feather duster or a soft, dry cloth.
- Place in a safe area where it can’t be bumped or knocked over.
- If damage occurs, contact your gallery for repair services.
- Keep your sculpture out of direct sunlight. Ultraviolet rays may cause discoloration over time.

Notes on Limited Edition Bronze Sculptures

- Each Frogman sculpture is created in a limited edition.
- Edition number ‘606/1000’ indicates the edition number and the edition size.
- ‘©05’ indicates the year the piece was copyrighted and released.
- ‘Tim’ Tim Cotterill’s signature is engraved on every piece.
- The frogman logo is cast into every piece released after 1999.
- Your gallery will include a certificate of authenticity with each sculpture.
